Aer Lingus Rugby Plane
I was delighted to design the refreshed Aer Lingus Green Spirit A320 livery, celebrating the airline’s sponsorship of the Irish Rugby team, alongside my design colleague Marie Vahey. The project also involved close collaboration with the Aer Lingus team and IAC/Eirtech to ensure the design not only fulfilled the creative brief but also met all technical and safety requirements for aircraft.

The solution
The refreshed livery represents a modern evolution of the original 2015 Green Spirit design and celebrates Irish rugby by showcasing its four ambassadors to Aer Lingus: Tadhg Furlong, Robbie Henshaw, Josh van der Flier, and Caelan DorisThe livery retained a clean, seamless aesthetic, using streamlined arcs echoing the new Aer Lingus livery which reinforced brand continuity of the current livery and built on the original concept. The design culminates in Robbie Henshaw’s touchdown pose, positioned prominently on the forward fuselage, embodying the forward momentum, drive, and spirit of Irish rugby.
